Archives For christmas

An english chocolate company made me cry.
They told a compelling story that was inspired by true events in WWI.

Christmas isn’t just about sharing, but the power of this simple story is truly amazing.
The message of the birth of Jesus and what that means for the world can overcome your circumstances and bring you peace.
I hope to see you at Two Cities Church for some peace this Christmas season.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Sometimes Christmas carols can get a little old, especially when you’ve been listening to the same ones for over a month everywhere you go. But North Point Community Church in Atlanta, GA has solved that problem with “The Best Carol Ever”.

I present to you, “Christmas in Bevelton”

KidStuf is a FREE fun evening for the whole family. It’s where kids and parents learn together about God’s Big Ideas!

It’s a fun, interactive experience designed for families and on December 15th at 5PM, you’re invited to KidStuf Christmas presented by Two Cities Church at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Building (808 4th St., Clovis, Ca 93612)! Bring your family and friends to experience Christmas like never before.

RSVP on our Facebook Event.

Merry Christmas from New Vintage Church and Rhianna.

We fund Love in a hopeless place.
A baby, the king, Jesus, has been born.
Hope has entered this darkness.
He is the Christ, the Lord, Jesus. Amen.

Merry Christmas from the most beloved villain of all time.

hope and a future

A couple of weeks ago we decided to go on a double date into “the city,” San Francisco.
We left the kids behind, with some trusted friends, and took off down the 101.
We parked under Union Square and waited for a table at the Cheesecake Factory for over two hours.
Regardless of the wait, it was fun to get out and have some fun with some friends.

This time of year causes a lot of stress on people and it’s important to slow down.
You’ve got to take some time for yourself and breathe.
There will be enough worries and stressors to come with the new year ringing in.
The economy may tank further, more people may occupy things and difficult times are most likely ahead…
Not uplifting to you?

This should be:

11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

– Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

And if that’s not enough, just take a look at the people you love who are around you and be thankful as we celebrate the birth of Jesus this month… be thankful for everything God has given to you, including freedom in Christ.

Josiah's First Christmas

December 26, 2009 — Leave a comment

Josiah had a great time this Christmas-even if he slept through one of the family gatherings. He’s had his Aunt, Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma’s (x3), Great Grandpa, Second Cousins, Great Aunts and Uncles and Mitch playing with him. The only problem we have is – how do we get all of his gifts back home to Santa Rosa?

We’re heading to Fresno for the Christmas Holiday. Everyone is pretty excited to see us to see Josiah. Just thought I’d share a quick picture before we take off in the morning. I think he’s a musical prodigy already.
