Josiah Meets the Family

September 25, 2009 — Leave a comment

As promised, here are some more pictures of Josiah Jason Foster. It’s been one week since Josiah was born and already time is flying. We don’t want to miss a thing. Is it normal to want him to stay this small his whole life?

Josiah was born early this morning. Here are the “deets”

•7lbs 11oz
•21in long
•born at 1:22am in 09.19.09
•looks like he might be a dirty-blond
•slightly crooked pinky finger

We’ve had his name picked out since we were dating in college. Josiah was a king who rediscovered the God of Isreal after they had abandoned their ways. He cleared out the temple and city of idols and false-worship and rededicated it to God. We pray that Josiah will be a servant of Jeaus Christ and that he will grow in te way of the Lord. Please pray a dedication of his life with us.

Jason is my brother’s name. He named his second (of three) after me. It is an honor to also ne able to honor him.

Foster comes from Forester…the keeper’s of the king’s forest. On our family crest it reads “Si Fractus Fortus” which means “though broken, strong.”

Yeah…he’s got an awesome name. But even more an amazing and loving God who has knit him together. And a great heritage to conribute to.

There’s probably a ton of typos in this post…sorry, I’m tired and I’m laying on a cot in the hospital. I’ll fix em later.
