Your local public park can be a great source of adventure. Most people take their kids and sit on a bench while their kids play. They (we… I’m guilty too) use the time to catch up on email or Facebook. But what if we helped their imagination bloom? What if we became part of their games? What if we participated with them? We’re making these YouTube videos to encourage people to play together and Go Do Something. Life is actually pretty amazing and my kids are growing up fast, so I’m trying to be more proactive in enjoying each day with them. Sometimes it’s little and simple and sometimes it’ll be bigger, but it’s something.
Tripp & Tyler are at it again. They’ve brought you some of the best comedy-shorts/commercials that YouTube has to offer. You may recognize their work with Email in Real Life and A Conference Call in Real Life. Here you have it… their latest comedy-short/commercial, Poo-Poo Parents Say. I definitely relate to this one. I say most of these things, multiple times a day and if you have little kids, you probably do as well.
Ever fought with someone? Like really, fought? As in, really said the harshest things you could think at them only to feel complete desolation of a relationship afterwards? If yes, then Fight Night at Two Cities Church is for you. You may have seen the following Flipagram floating around Instagram or Facebook. That’s because we believe there are two big audiences in Fresno/Clovis that need to be at Fight Night and so we will do whatever it takes to make you aware of this event. Those two audiences are:
1. Christians who aren’t connected to a local church in a way that is helping to grow their relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. People who don’t believe in Jesus.
If either of those descriptions is you or someone you can bring along, come out for Fight Night. I promise, you won’t regret it.

We have incredible environments for kids (birth-6th grade), a relevant and engaging service for adults and we genuinely seek to add value to your life. So come on out for #FightNight.
We hope to see you at Fight Night at Two Cities Church.
Tonight Brynn was introduced to a keyboard. I was immediately impressed with her precision. She may be a future musician.
My baby daughter is going to arrive at any moment. She is set for an arrival day of May 22, but that really means any day now.
So, here’s my question or DADS… [moms, you can post on behalf of him]…
And as a bonus here is a new song from Casey Darnell. If you have a daughter… This will make you cry.

Yesterday, I led worship for our k-6th grade environment, UpStreet.
I introduced a new version of Happy and You Know it.
My expectations were that the kids would have a good time with it.
My expectations were not that the kids would have such a great time, they’d pull out their cameras and shoot video.
Here’s a snippet of the worship with the kids.
And yes, I did pull up two high school students to do the movements.
Then, later in the afternoon Chris got our students to pull me up on stage to show them the song.
It’s crazy to me that we did this song at InsideOut!
I made Erika and Kim come on stage and help me with the motions this time!
It’s even crazier that they have fun with it.
How have you made a fool of yourself lately for the sake of ministry?
When I was a freshman at Pepperdine University, my roommate and I were invited to attend a bible study on Sunday nights at the president’s home on campus. It was on those nights, in that invitation-only crowd of students I learned some life-lessons from a man-of-God. Andy Benton was one of my mentors and in this video, you can see why… he’s a man of prayer.
Thank you Andy for investing in students like me.
This post is a part of a series of posts on my life mentors.
